PRE-START HEALTH AND SAFETY REVIEWS

A Pre-Start Health and Safety Review is an assessment by a Professional Engineer of any Industrial apparatus, protective element, process, or structure, to ensure compliance with applicable standards as laid out in Section 7 of Regulation 851, R.R.O. 1990 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The purpose of a PSHSR is to identify and eliminate workplace hazards through proper safeguarding of the equipment. To date, PARCS Ltd. has performed well over 1000 PSHSR for a diverse list of customers over the past 7 years.

PARCS has qualified Professional Engineers for:

  • Machine Guarding Prestart Health and Safety Reviews
  • Dust Collector Prestart Health and Safety Reviews
  • Fall Protection
  • Custom playground design (safety features)
  • Structural Analysis and Approval of Building Structures

A PSHSR is required when installing or modifying new or existing apparatus, protective elements, structures, or processes in an industrial establishment, and the provisions of the Table (in Section 7 of Regulation 851) apply.

This RoofStep was custom designed using two of our standard 6ft RoofStep Kits. It enabled our client, an elementary school in Cambridge, access to the roof via a hatch and further access to the level above the hatch and to the level below.
